Taking Virtual machine Backup

Backup will help us to revert back to old state of a virtual machine.

If you are testing some new functionalities then you have to loose old machine state. 
And if the new functionality didn’t work then you end up with creating new virtual machine.

For this situation, Snapshot feature of virtual box gives a solution.

By taking the snapshot of the current machine state, we can revert it at any time.

Now let us see how to take snapshot of a virtual machine.

Start the virtual machine. Go to Machine → Take snapshot

Give snapshot name and description and click OK

Now the first snapshot was successfully taken. You can check this info in below screen

Whenever you need to revert all the changes which are done after first snapshot, you can choose to revert 
it using restore snapshot option.
